Are we truly in bloom? I ask you this question.
I tried to convay this concet by using an earth in place of the center of a usual flower. I overlayed the earth on top of the preexisting senter and made the petals a high contrast to counter the soft visual of the earth. i also layed with saturation unsaturating the petals and using a gradient of saturation from the edges of the earth to its center which is the only part of the photo that contains color.

I believe the flower is withering away but the stem still holds us up in place. And we try everything to prevent the flower from dying and so in some places the petals still remain and in other the petals are gone..?
